Hey everyone!

Today I bring you an overview to wrap up all of the important things after the Kickstarter, including a post-Kickstarter timeline, results for the Community's Choice Poll, and the introduction to the pre-order store

Below, you can find a list of key dates for Elementara. First up are the post-Kickstarter surveys, out next week!

Post-Kickstarter Timeline (Estimates)

Community's Choice Result: Elemental Races!

(just a placeholder, not the final design!)

And the results are in—Elementally Infused Races has won the Community's Choice Poll! Thanks everyone for commenting your ideas for the poll throughout the Kickstarter and participating in the voting process. I have some really cool ideas for these elemental races, which you'll get to see in the upcoming playtest!

Results → https://youpoll.me/88770/r

Since we got SO CLOSE to the second tier of the Social Stretch Goal, I am considering adding some small parts of the 2nd and 3rd voted options. I have a small idea for how to include simple elemental spellcasting styles into the existing system, so I'm going to give creating it a go and see. I may also make 1 page dedicated to a dual-element gameplay mode, nothing too complex. You may see both of those in the upcoming playtest!

The Pre-Order Store is Now Live!

If you missed your chance to back, don't worry! The pre-order store is up and running right now on BackerKit. Follow the link below:

What's Next?

After the BackerKit Surveys are sent next week, the next thing to look out for is the Elementara Playtest Documents! The first one to be released will contain all of the character options which will be found in the book. I've already laid out the preliminary format for that playtest and lots of the actual design has already been completed. I'll be working on it lots within the next month!

Also, I have been in contact with the Eden Reforestation projects to get the correct details and make sure the donation goes smoothly. More on that in the coming updates.

You can expect more updates on the project every month or so, with info on surveys, the development of Elementara, new playtests, new art, and more! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about the process!

That's it for today! Thanks so much once again for supporting the project, everyone!

And that's a wrap! THANK YOU!!
7 months ago – Sat, Oct 22, 2022 at 08:36:18 PM

And that's it—Thank you everyone for such an amazing Kickstarter campaign! I am so grateful to each and every one of you 1884 awesome backers for raising over AU $123,048 to bring Elementara to life, unlocking a total of 10 stretch goals! Absolutely AMAZING.

I am extremely excited to get to work on finalizing Elementara, and I'm so happy to have so many of you excited about the project as well. It's going to be really fun finishing up this project, and I can't wait to see what everyone thinks about all of the content once the playtest docs are released. I wouldn't be able to do this without all of you amazing backers, so thank you all SO MUCH for your overwhelming support and enthusiasm for Elementara!

I'd also like to extend a huge thank you to Ozan Pulat, Cold Castle Studios, and Ferdinand Ladera for all of the amazing art so far, and to everyone else who contributed to the campaign: Alessandro Clemente for music, Nesrine Boukhedimi for animation, Shishishiena for voice acting, Jonathon Boyle for editing, and BackerKit for marketing and advice throughout the entire process. Thank you all so much!

Also, since I am donating to plant 3 trees for every backer, and we ended the campaign with 1900 backers, that means that 🌳 5652 trees will be planted! Which I think is awesome.

Community's Choice Poll - Final Round! (2/2)

There's still a chance to vote on the final Community's Choice Poll!

In the end, seven social quests were completed, meaning that only the top-voted option will be included in the book. Since we were only one social quest off getting the top 2 voted options, I am looking at adding the 2nd-place option in a small way. More on that in next week's update.

I'll be keeping this poll open until the update next week, and announcing the results then. For now, follow the link below to access the poll:

We didn't achieve the final two subclass Stretch Goals, but I'm adding them anyway!

While the campaign went very well, we didn't quite unlock all of seven elemental subclasses. But, I'm really excited about making them all. So, I've decided shuffle some things around in the book to make room for the final two subclasses — The 🌳 The Ancient Beast Patron & 🗡️The Way of Dancing Blades! With that, the book will have one subclass for each element. I'm truly looking forward to finishing these, and I really hope everyone will fun with these elemental subclasses!

What's Next?

I’ll be releasing another update next week with a full post-Kickstarter timeline, including details on the BackerKit surveys, when the playtests will be released, when the pre-order store will be open, and more. Until then, I'll be taking a much-needed break.

Once again, thank you all so much for your support!

Stretch Goal Unlocked: Sky Wanderer Archetype (+ Nature Lore 🌳)
7 months ago – Sat, Oct 22, 2022 at 08:36:01 PM

Hey everyone!

WOO!!! We've just passed AU $120k! These final hours are so exciting—thanks so much everyone!!

Reaching this funding level means that the 💨 Sky Wanderer Archetype will now be included in the book as an option for aeromancer rogues. Rogues of this archetype are explorers, using their aeromancy powers to traverse difficult landscapes and protect themselves from threats they may find.

There's only a few hours left in the campaign! Could this stretch goal be unlocked in that time!?

This stretch goal is 🌳 The Ancient Beast Patron for naturomancer warlocks! At AU$ 130k, this wild new subclass option will be included in the book. Warlocks of this patron use their powers to gain bestial features to match those of their legendary patrons.

Here's some world lore for the Tribes of the Wilds!

The Tree of Revival is at the heart of the nation now known as the Tribes of the Wilds. It appeared in the nation's greatest time of need, when their homes were plagued with famine, and their lands were left in ruins from attacks by surrounding nations. It seemed that all hope was lost, the people of this broken nation praying to the heavens for an answer. Then, it appeared.

It began with a low rumble. Then, even larger tremors. Rock faces began to crumble, and the ground for miles began to shift, and sway. Then, erupting from the center of a grassland came a massive cylinder of wood, rapidly sprouting into the sky and rising high into the clouds. Outwards from this towering tree came roots that barraged their way throughout the surrounding regions, rapidly creating forests and creating a lush landscape of foliage. The once barren land flourished with life.

Those that lived in this nation also felt the effects of the Tree of Revival. Slowly, they gained the power to bend nature to their will—shaping plants, beasts, and even each other. The Tree of Revival, and the surrounding forests, became a sacred place for the tribes. They bent trees to create homes, use their powers to cultivate crops, and build a prosperous nation. Together, they became known as the Tribes of the Wilds.

Thanks so much for the amazing amount of support everyone! 😊

Final Day! Stretch Goal Unlocked: Path of the Unbreakable (+ Air Lore 🌩️)
7 months ago – Fri, Oct 21, 2022 at 03:12:00 AM

Hey everyone!

We're officially in the final day! With 15 hours left on the campaign, we've just passed AU $110k—AMAZING!! Thanks everyone for the overwhelming amount of support.

Reaching this funding level means that the ⛰️ Path of the Unbreakable will now be included in the book as an option for geomancer barbarians. This subclass focuses entirely on protection, using all forms of earth to protect themselves and their allies in combat. It's going to be really fun finalizing this option, and I really can't wait to play it myself!

What's Next?

Next up for stretch goals is the 💨 Sky Wanderer Archetype for aeromancers rogues! At AU$ 120k, this agile new subclass option will be included in the book. Rogues of this archetype are explorers, using their aeromancy powers to traverse difficult landscapes and protect themselves from threats they may find. There's only 15 hours left in the campaign to unlock this stretch goalbe sure to tell everyone you know about Elementara in these final hours!

Here's some world lore for the Cloudlands!

No matter where you are on Ezara, the Cloudlands can be seen. Held aloft by a gargantuan, stationary tornado always looming in the distance, this congregation of floating islands is home to the aeromancers—those that have the ability to manipulate the element of air. Dozens of guilds call these islands their home, using their powers to traverse the tornado in sky boats and air balloons, forming a society of loosely connected islands.

While the tornado is rough, the islands that these guilds live on are surprisingly stable, only shifting and swaying slightly as they slowly rotate around the tornado's center. Many believe this is part of the tornado's magic—the same magic that caused those who were lifted into the sky years ago to become aeromancers. Whatever the case, the Cloudlands see the tornado as a gift, continuing to thrive in their new home in the skies.

Thanks so much for the amazing amount of support everyone! 😊

Final Community's Choice Poll & Stretch Goal Unlocked: Boss Elemancer NPCs (+ Earth Lore! ⛰️)
7 months ago – Thu, Oct 20, 2022 at 06:12:32 AM

Hey everyone!

We're now in the exciting last 48 hours of the campaign, and we just passed AU $100k, which is absolutely INCREDIBLE! Thank you all so much for getting the campaign this far.

First up in this update I'd like to announce the final round of the Community's Choice Poll:

Community's Choice Poll - Final Round! (2/2)

It's time for everyone to vote for what bonus content will be added to the book! This poll will end 1 week after the end of the campaign, on the 28th of October.

From this poll, a number of the top-voted options will be included in the book, based on the number of social quests completed from the social stretch goal. Currently, only the top option will be added, with six social quests having been completed. If at least two more social quests are completed before the end of the campaign, the top 2 options will be added instead!

Follow the link below to access the poll:

https://youpoll.me/88770/

Since these are all really great ideas, I may still include some small parts of those that don't make the vote, I'll have to see during development. Also as a note, I decided to add the top 5 options from the last round in this poll, rather than the top 4, as the top 3 from set 1 were so close in ranking.

Stretch Goal Unlocked!

We've just unlocked the Boss Elemancer NPCs stretch goal, meaning seven new tough elemancer enemies will be included in the book! These enemies will have a higher CR than the elemancer NPCs already planned for the book, and will all have leadership-type abilities to enhance their allies in combat. Thanks everyone, I really hope you all will have a fun time building encounters with these powerful enemies or fighting them in your games.

What's Next?

Next up for stretch goals is the ⛰️ Path of the Unbreakable for geomancer barbarians! At AU$ 110k, this tough new subclass option will be included in the book. This subclass focuses entirely on protection, using all forms of earth to protect themselves and their allies in combat.

Here's some world lore for The Republic of Terra!

Many centuries ago, Ezara was thrown into chaos as seven gargantuan elemental anomalies ripped their way into its lands. One of these anomalies was the Great Earthen Shard, a gargantuan, tilted wall of stone that lifted from the ground high into the sky. The location where it rose was a once peaceful grassland that was home to a large collection of towns. As it slowly lifted, it tore through trees, buildings, and farms, eventually raising all people of that land to the top of this towering, earthen structure.

With all of their farms and sources of water suddenly gone, the people atop the Shard had to quickly scavenge for new resources, and means of survival. Thankfully, the Shard not only lifted them into the sky, it also awoke within each person its power—granting them the ability to manipulate earth. At first, only a few could harness this power properly. But with some practice, the people began to use it to shape new homes for themselves—moving earth to build structures, prepare farms, and creating systems for moving up and down the slab. Many worked together to make this place a new home for all, and eventually, they even managed to carve a staircase back to the ground from which they once came. All of the settlements built atop this slab prospered, and many years later, they collectively formed the Republic of Terra.

Thanks so much for the amazing amount of support everyone! 😊
