Latest Updates from Our Project:

Stretch Goal Unlocked: Shadowcaller Archetype (+ New Stretch Goals & Metal Lore! 🛡️)
8 months ago – Tue, Oct 18, 2022 at 05:00:50 AM

Hey everyone!

We've just hit AU $90k—AMAZING!! Thanks everyone for the amazing amount of support. Reaching this funding level means that the 🔮 The Shadowcaller Archetype will now be included in the book as an option for etheromancer rangers. This ghostly archetype is closely connected with spirits, having the ability to call spiritual companions to aid them in and out of combat. This is one of my favorites out of the stretch goal subclasses, and I can't wait to flesh it out!

What's Next?

Elementara's next stretch goal is for Boss Elemancer NPCs! At AU $100k, seven new tough elemancer enemies will be included in the book. These enemies will have a higher CR than the elemancer NPCs already planned for the book, and will all have leadership-type abilities to enhance their allies in combat. These will be perfect for making powerful villains for your campaign and constructing epic final encounters that end stories with a bang.

Three Final Stretch Goals!

Now that we are getting very close to the end of campaign, I thought I would reveal the final three stretch goals. These are quite ambitious, but I'm sure we can do it!

First up at AU $130k is 🌳 The Ancient Beast Patron for naturomancer warlocks, who use their powers to gain bestial features to match those of their legendary patrons. After that at AU $140k is 🗡️The Way of Dancing Blades for metallomancer monks, who train to wield an array of small floating weapons, twirling them around themselves to use in combat.

The final stretch goal for the campaign is for Legendary Elementals. This capstone stretch goal adds seven new high-CR monsters to the book, one for each element. These elementals serve as the strongest elemental foes in all of Ezara, and will be a serious challenge for the players to face in game.

While an ambitious ask, I really hope we can get all of these stretch goal unlocked in the final days! If you want to see them unlocked, be sure to tell everyone you know about Elementara!

And here's some world lore for Titanium City!

Many centuries ago, Ezara was thrown into chaos as seven gargantuan elemental anomalies ripped their way into its lands. One of these anomalies was a metal meteorite that crashed down from the the sky, erupting into a gargantuan crater and causing great destruction and chaos in the surrounding lands. Years later, when the area was safe to return to, many ventured down the crater to investigate what had exactly had come down from the sky. Throughout this difficult journey, these curious adventurers slowly began to develop a miraculous power—the ability to manipulate metal. As they reached the meteorite itself, they discovered that it was this mysterious object that was granting them this power, and decided to call the crater home.

Slowly, a city began to develop atop the meteorite. It was named the Titanium City, and was built using metallomancy along with metals mined from the meteorite itself. Over the years, its citizens used their powers to continually build the city higher and higher, forging fantastic machines made of metal along the way.

That's it for now! It's going to be an exciting next few days as we head into the campaigns conclusion. Thanks everyone!

Community's Choice Poll Round 1/2, New Stretch Goals, & Planting Trees! 🌳
8 months ago – Sat, Oct 15, 2022 at 09:41:51 PM

Hey everyone!

We're now in the final week of the Kickstarter! The campaign is going very well, and I'm extremely grateful for your overwhelming support. Today, I've got a variety of updates, with the main one being the first round of the Community's Choice Poll:

Community's Choice Round 1/2

Today I bring you round 1/2 of the Community's Choice Poll! This is sort of a 'preliminary round' to narrow down the options before the final poll, which will be released close to the end of the campaign. I'll take the top 2 options from each set of this poll and include them in the final poll.

When that final poll is complete, a number of the top voted options will be included in the book, based on the amount of social quests completed from the social stretch goal. Currently, only the top option will be added. Find out how the Social Stretch Goal works here.

For now, it's time to vote! Follow the link below to access the poll:

https://youpoll.me/88449/

Two New Stretch Goals!

Here's two new stretch goals—coming after the Boss Elemancer NPCs stretch goal comes two new elemental subclasses! First up at AU $110k is a durable new subclass for geomancer barbarians — ⛰️ The Path of the Unbreakable! This subclass focuses entirely on protection, using all forms of earth to protect themselves and their allies in combat.

After that, at AU $120k, comes an agile new subclass for aeromancer rogues — 💨 The Sky Wanderer Archetype! Rogues of this archetype are explorers, using their aeromancy powers to traverse difficult landscapes and protect themselves from threats they may find.

I have some very cool ideas on how to handle these two subclasses, so I'd be very glad to see these two stretch goals reached!

Planting Trees! 🌳

If you were not already aware of it, I'm donating to plant 3 trees for every backer of the Kickstarter! (funds raised on Kickstarter won't be used for the donation). So by supporting this +3 Press project, your giving a +3 to the environment too.

That means with the current progress of the campaign (1200+ backers), 3600+ trees are going to be planted, which I think is awesome! To achieve this, I’ll be working with the Eden Reforestation Projects, a non-profit organization that works in developing countries to rebuild natural landscapes destroyed by deforestation, thus creating jobs and helping mitigate climate change. Once the Kickstarter is over, I'll be in contact with the Eden Reforestation Projects to organise the donation.

And that's it for today! Thanks again everyone, I'm very excited to see the results of the poll!

We're now moving onto the final week of the Kickstarter, which is very exciting! We've just passed AU $80k, which means we've now unlocked the More Elemental Techniques stretch goal! With this, even more technique options will be included in the book. I can't wait to finalize even more of my technique ideas and provide more exciting options for martial classes. Thanks so much everyone!

1st Social Stretch Goal Unlocked! (Community's Choice Poll)

Earlier this week, by completing four social quests, we unlocked the first part of the Social Stretch Goal! This means that the Community's Choice Bonus Content Poll is now unlocked, and the top voted option will be included in the book.

Thanks so much everyone for helping spread the word about Elementara, it is seriously a HUGE help! I'm currently gathering up all your amazing suggestions and will update everyone on the poll soon. If you want to help unlock even more top options from the future poll, be sure to help spread the word through the four available social quests!

What's Next?

Next up for funding stretch goals is another elemental subclass! At AU$ 90k, an ominous new subclass option will be included in the book for etheromancer rangers —🔮 The Shadowcaller Archetype! This ghostly archetype is closely connect with spirits, having the ability to call spiritual companions to aid them in and out of combat. There will also be more stretch goals revealed soon. Stay tuned!

Here's some world lore for Ethera, City of Lost Spirits

Many centuries ago, Ezara was thrown into chaos as seven gargantuan elemental anomalies ripped their way into its lands. One of these anomalies was a destructive, otherworldly portal that sprouted in the center of the city then known as Aetherayn. It was, at the time, the most prosperous city on the entire continent. The portal unleashed a horde of vengeful spirits along with vicious spiritual energies, which decimated a large portion of the city's population, and forced the rest to flee to surrounding lands.

The city became a forbidden place. In the years after the portal appeared, those that ventured there to reclaim what they had lost did not return. But decades later, as people slowly discovered how to draw power from the other elemental anomalies on Ezara, many were curious if they could attain power from the portal, as well. Those that traveled the wastes that now surrounded the city were met with a dark, ruined echo of the great city that Aetherayn used to be. While spirits still filled the streets, it was calmer—safe enough to venture within. After many weeks inside, the travelers eventually learned how to draw some small amounts of power from the portal, attaining the ability to manipulate spirits. With this power, they could finally call the city home once again.

That's it for today! Thanks again everyone, your support has been absolutely amazing and I'm extremely excited for the final week of the campaign!

8 months ago – Tue, Oct 11, 2022 at 07:26:33 PM

Hello everyone!

We just passed AU $70k, which is incredible! Also, we recently passed 1000 BACKERS, which is absolutely awesome! Thanks so much everyone, it makes me very happy to see all of these stretch goals hit and I'm ecstatic to see so many people interested in this project.

Hitting AU $70k means that the 4th Stretch Goal for the campaign has been unlocked—💧 The Sea Captain Archetype! This archetype focuses on leading their party with inspiring words and increasing their power with amplifying currents. You'll now be able to choose this courageous, swashbuckling option when creating hydromancer fighters in Elementara.

What's Next?

The next stretch goal is for More Elemental Techniques! At AU$80k, the number of elemental techniques in the book will increase! One of the core goals I've set for this book is to make sure that martial classes have just as much fun as the spellcasters using this new elemental magic system, granting them the ability to influence the battlefield in new and exciting ways. This stretch goal will allow me to include even more of these options in the book, allowing you to further customize your martial elemancers. I'm very eager to see this goal hit!

More Preview Techniques!

Interested in what elemental techniques will look like in Elementara? Here's four more preview techniques, one each for Fire, Water, Spirit, and Metal Elemancers. For more, be sure to follow along on Twitter, Facebook or Instagrama new spell/technique is revealed every day for the duration of the campaign!

Social Stretch Goal Update

Two more social quests have been completed! With the Twitter retweets and Instagram follower quests completed, we're now one social quest away from unlocking the Community's Choice Poll. If you want to help spread the word, be sure to check out the campaign's Social Stretch Goal!

And that's it for today—thanks again everyone!

Stretch Goal Unlocked: More Elemental Spells! (+ Water Lore! 💧)
8 months ago – Thu, Oct 06, 2022 at 03:04:08 PM

Hey everyone!

Elementara is now 200% fundedAmazing! Thanks so much for the overwhelming support. At this milestone, we've unlocked the 3rd stretch goal for the campaign: More Elemental Spells! This means that tons more spells will be included in the book, making each elemental spell list larger and increasing the number of options you'll have when customizing your magical arsenal.

What's Next?

Next up on the stretch goal list is the second of many elemental subclasses. At AU$ 70k, the book will include a courageous new subclass option for hydromancer fighters — 💧 The Sea Captain Archetype! This archetype focuses on leading their party with inspiring words and increasing their power with amplifying currents. And of course, fighters of this archetype are also experts at captaining a ship.

Here's some world lore for the Tidewalkers!

Many centuries ago, Ezara was thrown into chaos as seven gargantuan elemental anomalies ripped their way into its lands. One of these anomalies was the Eternal Maelstrom, a massive whirlpool that suddenly manifested in the Boundless Sea, whipping the once calm waters into a vicious, swirling current. This whirlpool transformed life for the Boundless Sea both below and above the water—forever altering the ocean floor and marine life, as well as tearing the surrounding islands from their bases and holding them magically aloft in the water, now swirling around the whirlpool's rim.

Those who resided on these islands experienced large-scale floods and destruction from the brutal waters as their once calm homes were tilted and rocked much like the islands they resided on. But during this destruction, the magic of the Eternal Maelstrom also revealed itself, as those islanders who were caught in its pull quickly discovered that—in their desperation to survive—they could now manipulate water itself, saving them from drowning in the depths and granting them newfound abilities. In the years that followed, those that resided in the Boundless Sea rebuilt their lives, while discovering the potential of their newfound powers. They began to use their powers to walk on water, drastically increase their ability to travel by boat, and improve how they farmed, among other things. Furthermore, they explored the depths of the whirlpool, finding an ancient, underwater city that would become the basis of an entirely new religion, and the core of a theocratic nation that would be formed many years later—the Tidewalkers.

Thanks again everyone!
